What is Encores for Excellence?
Encores for Excellence partners with music performances and musicians on social media to fundraise for organizations that improve access and resources for music education programs. We endeavor to provide funds and equipment so that any student seeking to pursue music has the means to do so.
Music is often known as “the universal language of mankind.” We fundraise at local performances and with musicians because we believe that music brings together a community that appreciates the importance of music education.
100% of the donations will be directed to our partner, The Guitar Center Foundation, to music programs selected by us.
About Our Project
Since I was 4 years old, piano has been a prominent part of my life. Through the years, piano has not only provided me a platform to follow my passion for music, but it has also taught me life skills, such as the importance of discipline, perseverance, and concentration, all of which I apply to my everyday life. I started this project because I wanted to create a project that would increase access to music. What has shaped me to become the musician I am today is the access to resources and learning experiences that I have had along the way. For me, music is a way of expression in which I can connect with my inner emotions and feelings, overall giving me a calming and relaxing feeling. I wish to be able to extend this way of self-expression to other children as well, while also helping them follow their passion in music.
